Ansari’s father claims Indian intelligence tried to murder his son

KATHMANDU:
The father of Yunus Ansari, the jailed chairman of National Television who was recently attacked inside Central Jail by an Indian contract killer, has claimed that the Indian intelligence agents were behind the murder attempt on his son.
Speaking at a press meet organized in the capital on Monday, Salim Miya Ansari, former minister and father of Yunus Ansari, said the attack on his son was carried out as the Indian intelligence officials believe that the television run by a member of minority Muslim community in Nepal can hamper the Indian interests in the country.
He further said the attack on his son was carried out with the intention of threatening the nationalists in the country.
