14 Nepali students missing in Japan

KATHMANDU, -  A Nepali student, identified as Rabin Sharma, who survived the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, has said that 14 of his fellow Nepali students have gone missing following the catastrophes.
According to Sharma, the earthquake started while they were taking a class at a language school in Sendai. He managed to run out of the class but the rest of his fellow students were trapped inside the school which has now been completely destroyed.
"In a message sent by Rabin, he has shown concern for his friends," said Dr. Kumar Basnet, spokesperson of Non-Resident Nepali Association, Japan, talking to eKantipur over phone.
Furthermore, the Nepali communities are trying to contact a dozen Nepali restaurant workers, who have lost contact since two Nepali restaurants (Yeti and Saino) have been swept away, said Dr. Basnet.
"We are trying to know the situation of Nepali citizens through the Foreign Ministry," said Dr. Durga Subedi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Nepal in Tokyo, Japan.
The mobile message of Robin Sharma from Japan is as follows:
