Maoist supremo optimistic about winning Nepali PM post

Kathmandu: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has filed his prime ministerial candidacy at Nepal's Legislature-Parliament in New Baneshwor on Wednesday (February 2).
Maoist Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai proposed and another Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha seconded Dahal's candidacy.
Talking briefly to journalists after filing his candidacy at the CA building, Dahal claimed that there is a strong possibility of his victory in today's (February 3) elections for the post of prime minister. He cited the positive talks with fring parties and Madhes-based parties for his optimism.
Dahal was prime minister after the Maoists cooperated for a peaceful return of combatants but he resigned due to differences with the military and other parties.
